News.

Been gone for a while, but I have been working on a potential website which I will hopefully launch. Then everyone will be able to view all of my creations and make purchases. Finally.

New Creations

Been making lots and lots of fun new gemstone jewellery since my recent purchase of more gemstones :) Have had a fun time mixing them with tassels, beads and spikes. These new ones can be found on my etsy shop (Mabre Jewellery) and here http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.152378894919218.34730.127059694117805&type=3

DIY Wire Wrapped Gemstone Pendant.

Supplies: Flat nosed pliers, round nosed pliers, wire cutters,  around 20g wire,  rough gemstone,  E-6000 glue (optional).

Cut around 20cm length of wire using the wire cutters.
Wrap the wire fully around the gemstone leaving one end shorter than the other (about 5cm to 15cm)
Twist the ends of the wires around each other bring the shorter side to the top and wrapping the long one right around the bottom.
Wrap the long end right around to the top and loop it around the short end.
Keep wrapping around the short end until there is no wire left. If there is too much left over you can simply cut it with the wire cutters. If the wire is sticking out then you can use flat nosed pliers to push the end in.
Use the flat nosed pliers to bend the short end to a 90 degree angle.
Use the round nosed pliers to curve the end into a loop.
And the pendant is complete!  Just add a chain or string to make it a full  necklace. Enjoy!
